DONT want walter to go as he has gave us back our dignity when it comes to international football.
Hopefully it can continue to improve and i would be delighted to even finish a close 3rd in this group containing both world cup finalists.but walter has now given us belief that we CAN qaulify and it feels great !!! I DONT CARE if its not SEXY soccer its a means to an end and that end is to qualify !!
also walter is getting all the credit but he is ably assisted by TOMMY BURNS and ALLY McCOIST its a team and thats what he has installed in his players and long may it continue!!

Walter has proved that Scotland need a man Manager as opposed to a great tactician although that is not to say Walter does not know his stuff. Neither Fergie or Souness fit the bill and maybe Big Eck would be the man. He did well at Rangers despite a minority of the support and they dont come more partisan.

Sir Alex Ferguson or Martin O'Neil would be very good for Scotland, it's important for the players to relate to that manager unlike Berti Vogts, what a joke that man was for the SFA! Anyway the scars with Berti Vogts are now healing thanks to Walter Smith and the boys! Lessons have been learned from the past! As a matter of fact I saw Berti Vogts on the dole cue last week collecting his giro cheque! lol only kiddin!

it's taken us so long to find a manager that can inspire the guys that it would be a nightmare if he left.....but can't see any real reason for him to do that. He's already had the high profile 'Rangers' job & I'd think the Scotland manager job is less pressured & more about spirit & will to win than money. Well done...& regardless of the future games - the French one gave us something to be proud of again (although how gutted would you be if you were French!)

Gordon Strachan or Graeme Souness. Graeme is crap but that's because he can't manage in the premiership. Scotland are more his level.
