Is it Columbia? If not, what kind of coffee do they use to make lattes?

I work at Starbucks, and we use Espresso in lattes, and cappuccinos, etc. Espresso is finely ground, darkly roasted coffee beans, ours is a mixture of beans from Latin American and Asian/Pacific regions. But you can't just get espresso by putting it in your regular drip coffee maker. Espresso is "achieved" by forcing hot water quickly through packed, finely ground coffee under high pressure. You can make a "mock" latte by having half drip coffee and half hot milk. It's called a Cafe au Lait.

I believe it's probably arabica (the best type of coffee for espresso) and they make espresso with it (same amount of coffee, less water, so more concentrated), then add the steamed milk. The only diff between latte and cappuccino is the amount of froth from the top of the steamed milk!

Espresso...its more pungent, and is harder to dilute the flavor with milk..
