I still need a DEFINITION for the word "PEACE" when used by Muslims?

Thanks to those who responded earlier. It was somewhat helpful.

However, no one defined the word "Peace." I am genuinely looking for exact meaning of what you/they are actually hoping for.

In other words, how would someone know that your wish had been come true?

(In order to make the definition most clear, please don't use the word "peace" in your answer.)

Peace is commonly understood to mean the absence of hostilities. Other definitions include freedom from disputes, harmonious relations and the absence of mental stress or anxiety, as the meaning of the word changes with context. However, there are others who would say that the absence of hostilities would refer to only those hostilities which are evident and that true peace only derives from the mind of each individual.

"how would someone know that your wish had been come true?"... since you're asking God to grant "peace" on whoever it is you're talking about, you wouldn't know if it is granted... you're WISHING the person, not giving it yourself....

and please, use a dictionary for the word "peace"... I don't know why you would think Muslims would have a different definition to the word...
