Is there a bigger picture? Because i love my dogs and am very affectionate with them talking with them making corky little jokes about them or talking for them. An she either rolls her eyes like i'm stupid and says she likes them but really rather not be bothered by them. What is that saying about her? Is she a keeper and what kind of mother would she make?

all people are diff.. but i would say that if shes not a good "mother" to your dogs... shes not going to be a good mother to your kids...

Maybe she's more interested in you at the moment and would rather you give her some of that affection she's watching you shower on your dog. Worrying whether or not she's a good mother or not by her reaction to you expecting her to be all over your dog is just plain silly. Maybe she's wondering if youre a keeper...maybe she thinks, he's more concerned about animals that humans. I think you dont know your gal very well yet and she doesnt know you. Be cool dude.

Dude.... maybe she doesnt like dogs... personally.... When I was growing up, we had 5 dogs at all times and it was kind of over bearing. As an adult I choose not to have dogs because I dont like them anymore, even when I go home, I have ONE dog that I Like and the rest are annoying. I dont think it says anything about her being a good mother... I think you are reading too much into this. Im sure there are things that she LOVES that you could care less about.... what does that say about you as a husband/father?

Well, you need to find a happy medium. I wouldn't go to the extreme of dumping her...yet. My fiance isn't crazy about my dog (who is like my child) but he's not completely indifferent either. He plays with him some, he just doesn't care for him the way I do. I definitely would not get rid of my fiance, I just know that I am the one my dog wants to come to for attention. It works fine...I can have both in the same house!

Also- it really is no sign of the kind of mother she will be. Some chicks just don't like dogs. There is no comparison.

If your gf is completely against your dog...then I would consider how important it is to have a dog lover in your life. Don't go to extremes before you think it through!

Well my friend, the problem may not totally be your girlfriend. It sounds like you have a bit of a problem yourself. Animals can be comfortable to be around, but I would certainly enjoy the comfort of a lady and the communication much more than a pet. You need to stay in focus, that your dog is a PET. If you don't, then you will be destined to live a very lonely life, free of female companionship. Get your priorities clear and act together.

Simple - she's not an animal lover. If they are a big part of your life then you will have issues and she may force you to choose between the dogs and her.

Does not sound like she is a keeper for you; since you love animals and she does not. Also, this is no indication of what her parenting skills are like.

Did you know that "Sirius" is the dog star?

Where were you yesterday when I asked if you would trust your pet's "instinct" ...if they didn't seem to like someone that you had allowed in home?

I can't tell you want to do... but if someone was "not so" keen to being around my dog.... they probably just shouldn't come around.....pets are really members of the family...

If you're gonna love me; you gotta love my dog!

You can't compare human children and dogs. They're NOT the same.

I'd do cutesy stuff with babies but not with dogs...unless they're small and fluffy...and I don't think your dogs are like that or at least I hope not.
