The dead are unconcious with no thoughts or feelings
ECCLESIASTES 9:5 & 10 & PSALM 146:4
The only hope for the dead is a future resurrection onto the earth
JOHN 5:28,29 & PSALM 37:29
Lazarus had been dead for parts of four days but didn't say anything about being anywhere else when Jesus raised him
JOHN chapter 11
(verse 24 shows that his sister believed in a future earthly resurrection)
To say that a person or personality survives in some way after death is an extention of the lie that Satan first told Eve
(GENESIS 3:4) He said that she wouldn't die but she did.
Beliefs should ALWAYS be backed up with Scripture
The only hope for our loved ones that have died is a resurrection in the future onto the earth.
It doesn't make sense that God would allow our dead loved ones to watch over us as we suffer trials etc without being able to do something to help us (how frustrating would that be?)

Wherever we came from before we were born. That is if your talking about our consciousness. Our awareness of our identity. Our minds....If you know someone who's died and your at their funeral, do ever have the feeling when you look at the body in the coffin that something's "missing"? I don't believe in heaven or hell or souls, but I truly believe that somehow a person's identity has gone somewhere else after death. This only my opinion.

Depends upon whose family you're in.
If your only heritage is that you descended from Adam, your body returns to dust in death, and your soul remains with the earth until it's cast into the lake of fire on the last day.
If you're born from above into the family of the Son of God who paid the debt that Adam owed to purchase his dominion, then you receive a body like His, and you are with Him in heaven until the day when you return with him to dispossess the usurpers and reign upon the earth.

The body decays. The spirit returns to God.
Ecclesiates 12:7 For then the dust will return to the earth, and the spirit will return to God who gave it.

Dude, when we die we wont be in position to "go" anywhere, it depends on where people take you!! Yeah, but after the day of judgement depending on our deeds we either go to heaven or hell.

Your molecules return to the random nothingness from whence they came. To think that there's an afterlife is delusional. While it might be nice to see our long-dead relatives or live a life of eternal bliss, without proof, its just fanciful thinking.

Judging by your name you will get the 400 degree oven, but there is always the ground. Other than that you could be mummified, but that's not likely.

2 Corinthians 5:8-We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
