The America I knew as a kid, is slowly disappearing. Now things are out of control. It's parents' fault because they are too busy to even know where the kids are and what they are doing. The moral fiber on which this great country was founded, has ceased to exist as you and I knew. Teaching your kids right from wrong is a good thing but moms and dads need to follow up to see that all is being done the way they intended for the kids to learn. Freedom is a great beast if out of control.

I think you are generalizing. Not ALL people in that age group are that way. Your feelings seem to be very media driven. The people who don't do things like that are people you WILL NOT hear about.
I can promise you I am very different than the stereotype you talk about above. I'm 20 and I grew up in an old fashioned type environment where Sunday was family day and we knew on our own what was right and wrong. I never got in trouble or broke laws. I don't and have never needed alcohol to have fun or enjoy myself.
We don't play OLD games because we have NEW games (World or Warcraft anyone?) But between us, I still play checkers with my dad every time I go to visit him :-D

Well, I know for a fact that I have morals even though I'm 12!!! You are just seeing what the media portrays anyone under 40 as: a slut/manwhore. I'm not saying a huge percentage of kids aren't like that, but there are a ton that aren't. For example, I've been a vegetarian for moral reasons for the last 3 YEARS and there is no possible way you could call that apathetic. I'm sorry that you feel that values are dissappearing but it's really public display of values that are decreasing, not the ideas themselves..
PS
Backgammon is dumb.
I'm sorry. It just is
PPS
But I like Monopoly!

Not everyone has no morals. They just like to pretend they don't.
You shouldn't base your judgment on what you see on TV. Remember TV shows only the shocking/entertaining stuff for ratings.
And yes games are 'stupid'... LOL. We have computers for that. :)
Will they return? Probably not in the way you mean. But I do think they will be played by these young adults when they have children of their own, and wish to spend some wholesome time with their kids away from all the negativity of the world.

well i think you are basicly stero-typing, not all young people are all about sex drugs violence and drinking. some of them have values, i am only 14 and i know what i want to do and what i DONt want to do with my life. i am going to what for marriage for sex. i will NEVER do drugs and if i drink it will be responsible and when i am of age. i DO enjoy playing board games and cards with my friends just not all the time. and yes there is a possibilty that kind of fun will return but i doubt it,

I'm 23, i've grown up with all that was mentioned in your question.
I enjoy drugs, sex, alcohol and violence. However i am a very moral man, my intentions are nothing but good and my good time just differs from yours not making it better or worse just infact different.
For you having a small understanding of how the mind of others work why do you place your interests and "fun" above everyone else?

I am 30 and I have morals. It is not up to anyone to judge the behaviour of another person, let people live their life, if they screw up, it is their business, and they have to deal with it.
