I change back and forth between atheism and agnosticism. I truly don't know.
I feel that if God was a truly benevolent God, he wouldn't allow for any of his creatures to suffer, no matter what.
I also feel that if God was a vengeful God, he wouldn't be perfect if he's holding a grudge like that, therefore not making him a God.
So when I lean back over to agnosticism, I think that God is truly a benevolent person, and cares for us no matter what.
This also conflicts with the fact that he lets us suffer here on earth. A lot.
When I think about this it makes me lean back to atheism.
With this question I just wrote down my thought process for the past 10 minutes.
Does this make any sense to anyone, or am I just a dumb kid?

I believe God is benevelant and wishes for none of His children to turn away from Him. I also believ that when the time calls for it, he can be the God of vengeance. That is how we can forgive and forget when we are done wrong. Because God said, "Vengeance is mine." that means he will mete out whatever punishment he sees fit. Chances are I could never think up some of the things God could in order to exact punishment for transgressions.

What you wrote above makes lot of sense. In fact you have covered all that is important. By definition God is a concept that transcends human intellect. You can never fully comprehend God.He has to be perfect. He can not have human weakness so how can he be vengeful?Did I tread in to an area of conflict? The problem is that science coaxes us to get rational and question all and never believe any thing unless there is evidence. However we face situations in practical life, some happenings which defy all logic. These events can never be explained. Here we need to take shelter under Faith to gain strength albeit temporarily. That is the reason a logical mind always oscillates from being a theist to atheist via agnosticism. Nothing unusual in such thought process.

Southpaw; Read the Bible beginning with gospel ofJohn to get a good understanding of Jesus as the creator...
Then read Romans to find out why Jesus came.

I think you pose some good questions. You are not a dumb kid. You are learning at a very early age to seek the truth. Seek and yee shall find (and I mean this in a human sense, not a religious one).

HE is both./ Revengeful also Benevolent. In the former Attribute God does Justice and even at that moment His Mercy is greater than the punishment due to delinquent.

God is compassionate and will not punish people. Only people punish themselves. Like a man needing to cross a highway, if he uses the pedestrian bridge, there will be no danger. But if he chooses and insists in crossing on the road, then isn't he just punishing himself?

The Divine are benevolent, but they stay out of human affairs unless they are called upon. It is rarely the Christians who successfully reach out to them...

To answer your original question,I truly don't believe there is a God. Many of your questions have been questions that I have asked myself. So that does not make you a "dumb kid." You are quite smart to question rather than follow blindly.

I go back and forth too. I do not believe that God gets involved in any way with us here. I also do not believe in hell or sin. The God I believe in would never condemn any soul to an eternity in hell. It makes no sense, whatsoever!
