Adam didn't recieve a soul. He was dust and God breathed into him the breath of life and Adam BECAME a living soul. In other words, his brain was turned on like when you turn your computer. Without the breath of life, he would be a dead soul (brain dead).

Folks just made that Soul going to heaven or hell up. That is not supported by the Bible.

Adam became a Living Soul in the sense that he recieved a body with a soul..Souls cannot literally die(Matthew 10:28,Luke 16:19-31)God bless.
