My boyfriend and I had a discussion. He told me females do not studder, not like tripping over words from time to time but serious case of studdering. I told him that is crazy of course women studder. He asked me to name one person I knew and I honestly could not. He strongly believes only men does it, I told him that it was ridiculous for him to think that. Soooo I leave it to u all, do u know any females that has a "serious" studdering problem?

me. tell him i am VERY VERY much a female. And I have a studdering problem.
I've gotten better at it, but I still do it.
So now you know one female. LET 'EM HAVE IT!!
My boyfriend has a studdering prob;em to, so sometimes it's pretty amusing for our friends.
Wow after reading the rest of these answere, i wonder if I'm the only female that studders. please let ther be another one.

yes i do. i studder when i get upset. it is very embarrassing and aggravating. I also flip-flop my words some times and that is aggravating also. so yes women do studder. i have studdered my whole life. but is not as bad now that i am older. i had speech therapy as a child and it got better.

My sister studders a lot, but not like a serious case. I sometimes do too..

I have never known a female that stuttered, but never really thought about it being possible that only men stutter until now. Then again, I have only actually known a couple of men that stutter, so it's possible that I just haven't met enough people with that issue.

i do b/c i get very nervous when i speak and i studder alot to a point that i don't want to hear my voice.

My niece was a terrible stutterer when she was a child. She grew out of it after puberty.

nope sure don't.. Sorry I only know this guy that stutters. Just because you may not know of anyone, doesn't mean they don't exist. The're probably out there.
