Everyone has a Honda Civic...plus those are one of the top 10 most stolen cars right now.
I would go with a Volkswagen Jetta (they have one of the highest crash test ratings for safety), or a PT Cruiser Convertable (they are cute but not sure on the crash test ratings...they are fun to drive too and have lots of room), the VW Bug is always a good bet, I believe they have a 4 star crash test rating and those are good priced. Try http:///www.vehix.com and do a comparison
good luck!
ps-I test drove a Toyota yaris when I was test driving for my new car this past summer (I ended up getting a Mazda 3 Sedan). I didn't like the Yaris, very basic in equipment and plain...in otherwords...BORING. I love my Mazda 3, add that one to your list too. =) Don't know why I didn't mention it lol.

Going to varsity stunning out of highschool isn't the excellent in large condition for each individual. it must be not the appropriate time on your son to attend college. After having yet another 12 months or so which you ought to mature and define his targets then he may be waiting. That being mentioned, i might advise sticking to the unique deal which you made with him. provide him a undeniable time line to have an entire-time job. arise with a apartment settlement with the quantity that he will pay according to month. You did not say if he will pay his very own motor vehicle insurance or motor vehicle charge, yet whilst he does not it is critical to to tell him that he needs to start up buying that now too. Paying hire and costs from a low paying job would help clue him in on how helpful a school education is.

If your budget allows for a new car, I would recommend a Mazda 3.
If your budget does not allow for a new car, I would recommend a used Corrolla S.
They are both girly cars, need very little upkeep, and have strong resale values.

I would recommend the Toyota Yaris, its one of the cheaper new cars out there, around 12000 or 13000. It gets good gas mileage and Toyotas are known for their reliability. Plus its a cute car, get a bright blue hatchback.
