Steamed or grilled asparagus is great. You can also do a mixed medley of veggies, try baby carrots, cauliflower, and broccoli either steamed or grilled with your favorite spices.

Steamed Patty Pan squash with butter and lemon pepper! YUM
or any other steamed veggie would work. Depends on how you are cooking the salmon. Stuffed mushrooms are a good side too, crab and artichoke stuffing with scallion and cream cheese, then bake until soft and hot.

A home made melange of rice and carrots works nicely.
Salmon is delicate in taste so try for mild veggies. If you think a particular vegetable is 'strong' mix with rice or millet to soothe the palate.

Pico de Gallo, cucumber salad (just posted a recipe under cuke queries), roasted fingerling potatoes, grilled asparagus w parmesan shavings, fennel salad, roasted herb-stuffed tomatoes, rice pilaf, steamed artichokes w butter & parm, haricot verts, -- not a veggie but, fettuccinne alfredo.

If you're grilling the salmon then go for some grilled potatoes (thick rounds) and grilled squash

If you're baking or poaching the salmon go for rice with peas and/or carrots medley
