There is a brand of alcohol free wines called Ame (accented but can't put it on here!). They are good value and taste fine. ideal for making guests/children feel part of the social situation. There are countless decent alcohol free beers - Holsten, Becks, Cobra, Erdinger, Bitburger. Other option is to do a search for alcohol free cocktails - far more interesting than sipping yet another cola.

I'm from the Seattle area and the larger supermarkets with a good wine section will have an alcohol-free wine called "Fre". I have tried it and I really didn't like it much, but at least it is available and very inexpensive.

Isn't alcohol free wine called grape juice? They have white, and purple. In Spain they have a drink called Mosto which is less sweet than American grape juice and has no alcohol.

Not sure how you spell it but there's a drink called Shloer which is a grape drink that tastes like wine with no alcohol.

Non-alchoholic Ginger Wines are quite good, if expensive. Farmer's markets in England sometimes have them on sale.

There is sparkling grape juice in a "wine" type bottle. It's a good substitution. I use it for romantic dinners with me and my man.
