If you drink too much, yeah. It's true.
It's acid. You can use a can of Coke to clean your toilet so what do you think that does to the inside of your body?
That said, I can't give it up. I'm rotting the insides of my body as I write this...

Look for phosphoric acid in the ingredients. It combines with calcium in the gut and makes it unavailable to the body. The study demonstrated an inverse correlation of soda consumption and bone density. There are many other factors involved. Still, think before you sip from the straw that may break your back.

No, but it causes the impaired absorption of calcium, which will lead to brittle bones as you get older. Also, if you're drinking soda, you're probably not drinking milk, which is what helps build bone.

I have kidney stone issues, and my dr said specifically that soda and caffine are not good for me. Soda effects the way your body deals with calcium, often causing it to be deposited into the kidneys where it accumulates (stones). Soda will also leech out certain minerals from your body-again not good.

Yeah, its the citric acid in soda that rots your teeth, which are bones, and is very bad for you. You know the old story about cleaning rust off cars and blood off highways with cola, right? Its all true.

No, it's not true. Lack of calcium makes weak bones, not soda.

I'm not sure about that but for a experiment one time in school we put a penny or some kind of coin (I forget)into a glass of coke overnight and it started eating through it by the next day so I would say probably!
