What is with the annoying people who would rather point out grammer and typo's then actually answer the question? Are they trying to be annoying? Or is it a I am better than you complex?Either way I think it is rude How about you?

I totally agree...if you dont have something to say in reference to the question needed answered dont put dumb answers to something you know nothing about....I think the person who is asking the question should be able to determine if that person gets points for answering the question so some of these people who have high scores for just putting . in the answer box wont get points

As one of the 'nit pickers' that has mentioned the frustration of dealing with the short acronyms, I can tell you, my comments are not intended to insult or be rude, but to suggest that there is a better way, and that there are a lot of people who have diffuculty in the texting words. Do say 'that's too bad' or 'just answer the question' shows an immaturity to the problem. Obviously, the young kids who are insulted by the suggestion of writing correctly, are a bit defensive. They come across as lazy. You guys are on a national website, talking to the world, you are not on your private cell phones.

I am not the best speller and there have been people that have said to me when I posted to learn how to spell. I use the check spelling now but you are right it is rude you are here to get your questions answered as well as answer others questions.
There seems to be a lot of rudeness on this site.
1Corinthians 13:5 Love is not rude or self seeking, some people are nit pickers ignore them and go about your business.

I agree. Typo's and grammer are no big deal! Some people are nit-pickers and they miss the point of Y answers.

I think spelling and grammar are important as we are from all parts of the world and not everyone has English as their first language. Sometimes is worth to try harder to get messages through as many people as possible in the clearest way.

Yes it is rude. Critics can't stand imperfections even though they may have them themselves. People are in a hurry to get their question typed before they forget how they want to word it. I think that this is what leads to incorrect spelling - not that they are gramatically challenged or don't know how to spell something. Judgement is one of the biggest sins in our society.

yeah it is rude. Sometimes though you can't understand what the people are asking because the typos are so bad. THat is when someone needs to say something!

I do that to people if they are being rude in their question, or trying to sound more intelligent by putting others down when they can't write properly in English to do so. Not that I really think that people that can't write properly or spell properly are stupid. My husband couldn't spell his way out of a paper bag and he is one of the most intelligent people I know. But, when someone is being rude to others, it is the easiest thing to point out to them.

Sometimes the questions are so badly spelled that it is difficult to understand what the questioner really wants. I think many correct as a way of helping the questioner with their spelling and grammar.
