Nothing in this world reminds me of heaven, since I have no memory of heaven, having not been there yet. But there are things in this world that inspire awe and make me think of what heaven must be like.
When the clouds are purple and blue and the sky is pink and a single ray of yellow sunlight streaks through the clouds to the ground.
When I look into my baby nephew's eyes and smell his sweet baby scent.
Looking at the delicate wings of a butterfly and pondering the design of God and his majesty.

That's a real good question, I think. Now I'm not religious, but I do understand what you mean by heaven, and I do have a vision of it. Unfortunately, nothing on earth really reminds me of heaven. There's so much hate, suffering, greed, cruelty, and division in the world. My vision of heaven is life without all the issues. No people dying, suffering, starving, killing, and so forth. Everyone can take the path they wish to take, and love is everywhere. That's my heaven. And you better believe, throughout my life, I will be doing whatever I possibly can to make this world just a little bit more like heaven.

When I am at a function and everyone is having fun and noone is fighting.
When I am with my family and we are enjoying each other's company.
When I used to go to church or chorus and we would all sing in harmony together, praising our Father in Heaven.
You are right tho, sunsets are divine, with all those colors that can't be duplicated.
My son reminds me of heaven, as he has complete faith that I will take care of him, as I have complete faith in God that He will take care of me.
But NO - THING compares with heaven, I'm sure. That is why it is heaven, we only can make one in our minds and dreams. Home. There is no place like heaven.

as long as I can remember I always thought that the sun rays shining thru the clouds was a soul ascending the stairway to heaven.
though no one knows what heaven looks like, i think the closest thing on earth to heaven is being up in the mountains away from all civilization. it's quiet and peaceful.

Dear Savage Chic,
I have never been to heaven. I do not believe anything in this world can compare to what it will be like in Heaven with the Lord Jesus Christ (God).

Wind chimes and misty twilights--perhaps not so much the Christian concept of heaven, but the Summerland or lands beyond the veil spoken of by my pagan friends.

The innocence of my children. I believe children are the closest thing to God on earth. I also think of Heaven whenever I see a rainbow.

The visible rays of sun emitted from clouds when they are shaped a certain way. Also, the light of the Moon when She is full on a clear night.
