To become a psychologist you need your doctorate - about 8 years. To become a counselor/therapist you need your master's degree - about 6 years. There are many positions open to those with a 4 year/bachelor degree. An associate's degree is a 2-year degree, but if there is one in psychology I doubt you'd be able to pursue much with it. God bless. ~Nise~

Depends on what you want to do with your degree. Do you want to become a doctor with it and actually help people? If yes, then you will have to likely go for 7 years, 4 years for your bachelors, then 3 years for your Masters. In between those times, you will have to take your GRE (Graduate Records Examination test which gets you into Graduate school...required of all graduate schools). If you just want a regular degree to say you have a degree then the 4 year Bachelor degree will be enough. Good luck! =)

Your undergraduate degree will take approximately 4 years, then a masters will take a 365 days or 2 extra, and then in case you do a Ph. D. which could take everywhere from 2 to 5 years, based completely on you and how rapidly you may finished the standards. a lot of human beings prepare in psychology with in basic terms a masters. besides the indisputable fact that, a doctor of psychology has a Ph. D.

It depends on what psychology degree you want to earn. Whether it is a associates, bachelors, masters, PhD. and what field of psychology. Your question was very vague. I am a psychologist in the field of school psychology with almost a PhD. and it took me 10 years. Hope this helps!

Depends on what you want to do. To be a social worker, you'll need your bachelor's degree and then get certified in social working.
To be a therapist, you'll need your master's degree and to be a psychologist you'll need a doctorate. Psychiatrists also need a medical background as they prescribe medication. You'll need to be licensed in whatever field of psychology you're going into. Generally 4-10 years.

Depends...
An associate's degree is 2 years, a b.a. is 4 years, and then you could go on to your master's degree. What kind of career do you want? A lot of counseling jobs require a master's degree.

It takes 4 years to get a bachelors degree, but you will probably need a higher degree for any decent job in the field.
It is spelled psychology.
