It sounds like OCD to me. Because you're COMPELLED to do these things right? Yeah, but I mean, who are you hurting? Nobody. It just takes you a little longer to leave the house because you're turning lights off repeatedly. No biggie.
Me, I have to eat M&Ms in twos of the same color./ I have to eat 2 blues, then 2 greens, etc. I can't eat just one at a time and I can't mix up the colors while I eat them. It makes it really hard to eat M&ms in the movie theater.

Hey there! Firstly, you could describe these things as wierd, and if so, so what?!! Nothing wrong with being a bit wierd. But seriously, you do sound like you have some OCD tendencies. It would be classed as OCD if you can't stop doing them, and feel really bad, panicky etc if you don't do them or try not to do them. These compulsions can be really annoying, and they are obviously getting you down. Your GP can refer you to a psychologist who can help you using cognitive behaviour techniques and relaxation techniques. Don't be ashamed to tell your GP and your friends/family, there is plenty help out there, and you CAN learn to stop doing these things and not feel bad. Best wishes.

try taking a drink and seeing if it makes you want to walk the right way!
for the touching start putting pins and needles on things around the house...that'll teach you!
pick up things blindfolded then u really have no idea where they were...eventually u'll get tired!
put 1 teabag in the jar- then there are less to chose from.
no one sits on toilet seats in public.
Good LUCK! :)

That sounds like OCD to me. Welcome to the club! We are a friendly bunch here in OCD land just wipe your feet on the mat (5 times please) and make yourself at home.
Seriously though it does sound like you have some obsessive compulsive tendencies - as long as you don't let the condition control you then you should be able to get along fine all your life.

OCD if you want to label yourself. I personally like to think people like you are just a bit more eccentric than others. Nothing wrong with that and if its not putting you or anyone else in danger, why worry? I think it makes you interesting, and pretty funny too. I'd like to see it all for myself and laugh!

By what you stated you "have to do" it seems as if you have what doctors and others have labled as OCD. You have no control over it i'm sure, I just hope it doesn't effect your life really badly in anyway like some.

To be honest, I'm not sure. You sound as though you do have OCD but it also sounds a little contrived to me. Maybe its just this question format, but I think you need to take yourself less seriously, and not expect others to take your side and give you the gratification that you need!

You have mild OCD, try to break the habits before it begins to run your life. How do I know? I am a psychologist, with nothing better to do!
