If you posted bond you are responsible. the point of a bond is to release that person into your custody. If prisoner does not return for court dates or sentencing them you are liable under terms of the bond agreement.

Any money or collateral that you have put up will be lost. I am not sure but I think the actual bail bonds man is responsible for making sure the person shows up.
I have never bonded anyone out of jail and don't think I would because of this.

WEll this person you bonded out of jail would be considered a fugitive and they woiuld first contact you to see if you can help them find this person. You won't get into any trouble like doin time or anything, but you will be a part of the investigation, plus theres a whole money issue thing too with the bond.If you are going through this seek legal counsil immediatly, the laws are differen tfrom state to state so you need to be informed and educated on your local laws concerning this issue.

If you bond them out you are not responsible for their crime or remaining time to be served; however, whatever you placed as collateral to the bail bond agency is gone depending on what you put up that could be your vehicle or even house or a number of other valuable things

Yes and you could lose your money or whatever you put up on the bond. What I would do is get them to turn themselves in. If they won't try to get off of the bond asap!

If you sign the bond then yes, you are in essence assuring that the person you are putting the bond up for will appear in court and if they don't you may have to forfeit the bail money or the collateral you put up for it.

Yep thats why people hire Dog the Bounty hunter. Most people that have hired him have bonded someone and they skipped bond..,he goes out and hunts them down.Thats a big mistake to make..,people have lost houses and big bucks over bonding friends and family,I say do the crime to the time. You are on your own.
