Hi
I assume the bushes are OUTside
I would simply tie or pen him up away from them..
WHat type of bushes they are prob has little to do with him chewing them...
But make sure he is getting enough Puppy chow and water,, and make sure hes had a recent VET check as well
Tell the VET he is eating the bushes
Probably its just him finding something he likes to chew..
You can try giving him chew toys,,,rawhides etc...
Lab puppy's love to chew and particularily WOOD
We had one that chewed at 3 mos of age chewed the wood leg almost off a sofa while we were at the grocery!
For that we rubbed bitter stuff on the leg and did nt leave him alone in there again
You may be able to find a spray at a pet store that says it will keep them away from the bush but prob have to re apply every time it rains
Good Luck
Labs are great though...
Id get training him though .. easier when they are little!

I'm having the same problem, my daughters black lab puppy is destroying my yard so I'm getting rid of the little bastard. Some suggestions I've gotten are to get a muzzle, there is also a pepper spray at Pet co that you can use but you have to spray like everyday, or keep him on a cable. The fact is puppies tear things up because their bored, so you also need to spend more time with him/her, which is the main problem we're having

Go to Target, PetSmart, etc. and get the No chew, No bite spray. It is very safe and they hate it b/c it is so bitter. It is safe for furniture, plants, wood, etc. It worked for my lab. Also get her a Kong (the red ball one) and put a treat inside of it. My lab is addicted to it. I put large and small treats inside of it to keep her busy. The small one come out and reward her for playing with it, but the large ones are much harder for her to get out and it is a challenge. It keeps her busy for hours....literally.

Puppies like babies, cut teeth. Try giving puppy something to chew on (my brother's lab pup chewed the dry wall!!) like squeak toys, something he will like BETTER than the brush. Try to keep small chewable things out of pups reach. Time, maturity, patience and love will get pup to your goal.

mix habiornaro pepper or cayanne and water and spray it on the brush. It will be so spicy that your dog will not like it. But be careful because if you get it in your eyes it can really hurt
