I have black-outs...But i do not know if they are from stress, or too much salt in my diet. The blackness comes in from the sides, and makes it to the point where i cannot see, or hear anything. They do not happen often, just every once in a while. But i am scared, beacause my father has seizures. we do not know if it is herditary or he just fell on his head too much as a child... (The doctors say that)
Please Help!

Well, afterwords i get these god-awful headachs, that make me not able to move... All i can do, is sit there and hold my temples and pray that they go away soon. They last for about 2 minutes usually... But they feel like someone is stabbing my temples over and over

I can't give you a direct "here's the problem" answer...but I can say this: Go see a doctor. Sometimes we don't go because we're afraid they'll tell us we have something horrible. The truth is, by not going, we put ourselves in an even worse position: not knowing (and still being scared).

You need to see your doctor for a full checkup as soon as possible. Blackouts can be caused by lots of things, from high blood pressure and blood sugar imbalances to tumors and allergies. Lots of times worrying about a problem is much worse than the actual problem. Stressing about this well only make it worse. Go find out! It might be something very minor! Good luck and God bless!

I used to have grey-outs, which sound similar. I also used to have short, intense, sharp pains in my head that lasted for 2 seconds at most, with just a lingering pain that quickly subsided. Nowadays I just have what feel like tension headaches that last for most of the day and sometimes won't respond to medication. I'm not aware of this condition in my family.
From what you describe I would very much let your doctor know about your symptoms. Don't be afraid to say everything about them, either, and don't be afraid to repeat this information on further visits... everyone has headaches, so sometimes doctors don't pay as much attention to them as you'd like them to.

have you been tested for epilepsy? My cousin's wife suffered similar blackouts and is now doing well on epilepsy meds.
I really think to put your own mind at rest you need to consult with a Doctor and not hope to find answers on here.
Take care

Please go to the doctor. This is not normal and you need to be checked out by a professional before this happens when you are driving or something like that where you could be seriously hurt or hurt others.

Get your head checked, make sure you don't have a brain tumor or eye cancer. Definitely not normal, so make sure that the doctors find what it is and get treated immediately.
