She used to blow up every 6-8 weeks or so, usually when she'd drink. Then she'd spout her paranoid feelings regarding stuff I've done (or forgot to do) since we've met. Now, understand that my worst offense in this year long relationship is that i said i would take her birthday off of work, and i didn't. So it's not as if there's even a lot to complain about. Hell, i'm the one with REAL complaints.
Anyways, it got to the point where i told her she needed to see a therapist because i was tired of these blowups and losing sleep and then watching her cry her eyes out the next day apologizing. So she said ok. Well, she's been going for a week or two, but now i have a new problem. She's so overcome with guilt over all this that she's crying constantly. I love her completely, and this problem aside, we're a pretty awesome match. I don't want to leave her, but damn, this is getting OLD.

If you can't be understanding and patient with her then it's not love. True love is unconditional.

My ex didn't take of work for my 21st birthday. Needless to say things didn't work out. A break may be the best thing for you two, she's obviously going through a lot, and you don't need the hassle. In a month or two, figure out whether or not you two still care enough about each other to get back together.

Your gf needs to keep going to therapy she may also need medication and for God's sake don't let her drink if thats what sets her off. You need to put some distance between you while she stabilizes. I don't mean break up, but be supportive of course.

Frankly I don't things will get better - I'd run the other way. I was married to someone like this and after wasting 10 years of my life I wish I'd left sooner.
