Limbo is not, and has never been, part of official Church Doctrine.
The idea of limbo was popular amongst some Catholic theologians. This gave rise to the impression that Catholics believed in limbo. But, again, limbo was merely those theologians' opinion, not a real Catholic belief.

None of the ones I've met still believe in Limbo. However, it is traditional to baptize a baby early (since in ancient times, a baby could die before the age of a year when parents did worry about Limbo).

No not all Catholics believe in Limbo and the belief in Limbo is not essential to be a Catholic--it is not a dogma

No.
Jesus said, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation. He who believes and is baptized will be saved." (Mark 16:15-16)
For centuries, people have wondered about children who died before they were baptized.
Limbo was suggested as the place where unbaptized babies went when they died. This idea was never official Church doctrine and has be rejected.
The Church now says that it is not sure what happens to unbaptized babies when they die but she entrusts them to the mercy of God.
With love in Christ.

They usually believe bad things happen to good people. Unless they are talking about themselves or someone they love. Then the rules can be stretched a bit.
