I've seen people say atheists don't want to give up our sinful lifestyle. This is nonsense. I lead a perfectly conservative lifestyle. I am faithful to my husband, honest, trustworthy and basically kind. I rarely drink and I don't do drugs. I don't smoke cigarettes or weed. My biggest "sin" is a love for sweets, but I manage to keep my weight fairly well under control. My atheism is due to a lack of belief in the supernatural, not the desire to party nonstop.

Generalizations are a dangerous thing. They are usually propogated by the uneducated or those who want to control the uneducated. All people are basically the same. They breathe, eat, and have a wide range of emotions. They base their beleifs on what they have experienced and what they have learned which is why education is so important.
I learned how to meditate on the word of God from a Budhist martial arts teacher. I learned of Catholic and Budhist history from a Druid. My best friend believed himself to be a Wiccan and he took me through some tough times.
I'm a Christian who beleives that God is understood by other cultures under different names. After all, even the Bible has several different names for God. Spreading God's love does not entail condemning everyone you meet to hell. It entails bringing the good news so people don't have to go to hell. All that is required for salvation is belief that Christ died for your sins. All the rituals and deeds are "extras." Leading is best done by example.

First of all Wiccans are not evil just don't tick one off and you will be safe.. And yes Muslims are terrorists and stupid to.. The only Christians that are closed minded are the Catholics, you would have to be if you kept saying there isn't a problem when most priest pedophiles and lots of Atheists are very intelligent....

For me it would have to be that all Christians are militant or mean or judgmental.
1. The bible says "Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you shall be forgiven" Luke 6:37 This means REAL Christians don't go around judging people because they aren't all like them!
2. "But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you." Matthew 5:44
I want to personally apologize if I have sounded unkind to anyone here. I will also say that I do love you all and whether you want me to or not I do pray for you.
3. "And to him who strikes you on the one cheek, also offer the other. And to him who takes away your garment, do not forbid your tunic also." Luke 6:29 I believe this is self explanatory.
What I am trying to say is that those Christians who abide by the Bible will show you love, and not hate, will help you, and not hurt you, will show you a better way, and not judge. I offer my prayers and my love to anyone and everyone. I am a Child of God and I do abide by the Bible.

That Catholics are Christians.
That we do NOT worship Mary.
That we do NOT Confess TO the Priest, but TO God through the Priest.
That we do not worship Statues.
That not all Priests are Pedophiles.
That not all Pedophiles are Priests.
That we are NOT un-informed.
That the Catholic Church is NOT against education.
And as a more general Christian,
That Christians do NOT run the US Government as a theocracy,
That Christians do NOT approve of immorality.
And, that Christians accept the faults of some of it's members over the centuries, and are determined not to re-make them.
Peace! and God Bless you All!

I haven't seen too many negative comments or condemnations of Buddhism so maybe the lesson to be learned is don't show intolerance and disparage other's beliefs and they will respect, or at least tolerate yours.

So many I can't count. The question ususally starts, "why do Christians...." Why can't they say the ones they know about or at least say "some people who profess to be Christians".
