If I'm in a hurry I use a drawstring ponytail hairpiece or a fall. Even when my hair was barely long enough to make a ponytail I'd secure the the loose pieces in the back with bobby pins or clip barrettes that are the same color as my hair and then chose a ponytail that was long and full so it would hide the pins completely underneath of it. Depending on what style of ponytail I'm using, I usually pull out a few pieces of my own hair around my face and curl them or style them to match the hairpiece.
I have found they are usually cheaper if you buy ponytails from a local shop that sells hair extensions, but a good place online to order is Laissez Faire Hair (they are more expensive online though.) You can get some really sexy, feminine styles in all sorts of colors and it only takes a few minutes to have perfect hair.
