The term is not racist but prejudice. I think the way that people think it is OK to make fun of people with red hair is dangerous and can really scar children for life.
Why doesn't everybody just get over it. If you don't find it attractive then that is your issue as I'm sure there are plenty of things about everyone that we could find to pick on.

Not racist...............I'd say if you hate a person for their hair colour you are shallow.
By the way....I have 2 daughters who both have shades of red/ginger. I bet you have never heard of red hair = fiery temper, it's so true with my girls, you really don't want to be upsetting them, it's dangerous. You have been warned.x

No because the definition of racism is the belief in superiority of one 'race' or another.
Ginger people are not of a different race, they just have a different hair colour.

seems like it to me, its perfectly silly to be called a racist because you dont like red hair, but you can be called a racist because you dont like black skin and hair like a brillo pad, but thats politically correctness for ya....you cant hate anything anymore...in fact they want ya to love it...so get over the red hair thing and learn to love it, even if you hate it, and smile when you asked if you love it

Yes, its like hating someone with different color skin. You can hate the color of the hair but not the person because thats racism.

why would anyone hate people with red hair? it makes no sense... of course any kind of racism makes no sense.. diversity is a good thing.. the world would be boring if everyone looked exactly alike..
