I hesitate to answer this because I'm afraid this is something you are thinking about doing. I work with children who do this. Where do they cut themselves - anywhere it doesn't show, at least at first. What do they cut themselves with - anything that is sharp or can be made sharp. They aren't making pretty designs on their skin, these aren't tatoos. Some start by just scratching themseleves, then it escalates. It is a cry for help/attention. If this is a request of how to - please find someone that you can talk to, I beg you. A teacher, a friend you trust, a guidence couselor - anyone. Know that there are other ways and people that can and will help if you need it. If you really are doing a movie, god bless - I hope it does some good.

Watch the show intervention on A&E. Cutters use anything and everything to cut themselfs. Mostly I saw them using shaving razors that were taken apart or tack pins to cut. There is a need to see blood and from what I remember most of these people were abused / molested as children. They do not like to show their scares and tend to cover them up with makeup as they are ashamed of what their doing but don't know how to get help for it.

That's stupid. Cutting actually does more damage then one might think. If you cut anywhere around your neck, you'll definitly hit something that will either bring your head movment down by fifty percent, or you'll hit something that will affect your entire body. If your do your wrist, you'll have to cut through all the important cords that keeps your hands moving in tip top shape just to reach a single vein. So if you survive, your going to live the rest of your life in misery.

WORDS are the sharpest instrument known to man. i.e. "the pen is mightier than the sword". Knives and blades just cut the skin, words go much deeper. Know that you are loved in more ways than you can imagine, and that all is good. Even if it doesn't always seem that way.

It depends - some people consider it a method of self expressions for others it is a cry for help!
Usually they cut themselves with anything that is handy that they can use and usually on the upper legs or on the lower arms!@

people cut with anything that draws blood, anything with a point that is at hand that they can draw blood with... also something smallish so people don't see it.
Also people cut about anywhere. Mostly on there arms, wrists, legs, and stomachs.

they user razor blades to cut their arms, legs, stomach...some people even have "special carrying cases" for their razor blades so they can use them "when they need to" while "on the go"...i.e. at a stop light, waiting for a friend to show up...anytime they need it.
