Chances are good. I have brown eyes, my hubby has green. My mom and dad both have brown. His mom has blue and his dad has green.
Ours have (in order)

There's really no way to know b/c eye color is carried on many different genes. My husband just graduated as a biology major and we've discussed this about our little boy a lot. We had our son October last year which proved this. My husbands whole family has brown eyes, I have hazel, my mom has hazel, and my dad has blue (hes the only one in the family who has blue)....well my son's eyes are blue....no one thought he would have blue eyes since it is a recessive trait but he did. You just really never know....

Who knows an actual percentage...but I say because you have hazel and his family is all about blue...then it is pretty good chance he/she will have blue eyes. I am in the same predicament. I have brown, but everyone else in my family has green. My boyfriend and his whole family have blue. I think my baby will come out with hazel, but then again brown is dominant!
Anyways, good luck, congrats on the baby!

From what I know of genentics the chances are very good. Supposedly hazel eyes are technically blue from a genetics standpoint. Everyone in my family has blue eyes except me. Mine are green/hazel.

You know your child could wind up with either brown, green, hazel, or blue. It really depends on what gene it dominant. It also depends on who he takes after in the family. Your child could get green eyes from someone way down on the tree. Who knows. Does it really matter? I have green eyes and my husband brown and our daughter got blue eyes.

Your odds are not great as blue eyes are a recessive gene and you need both male and female genes to be recessive to get a blue-eyed baby. Without further documenting your family and husband's family your odds are something like 1 in 16 or 1 in 32 of having blue eyes.

well that is really hit or miss. I have brown eyes, so does my hubby, so do both of our parents, as well as their parents. My baby girl was born with blue eyes and she is now 7 months old and they are still blue. she is mixed, African American. Indian and Spanish! Good luck!

i dont think it really matters when you look at your families eye colors.. i have hazel eyes and i have 4 sisters and 1 has blue but no one else does and my husbands side all have brown... and our son has blue eyes. i was amazed when they didnt change after infancy.... but somehow he got lucky...black hair n blue eyes..beautiful... i hope they stay if you want them too...but the odds are that most dont stay. :)
