The "Gospel of Thomas" was not written by the Disciple/Apostle Thomas... who was Missionary to India.

Rather, you are referring to the "Gospel of Thomas" which is one of the "gnostic gospels" written perhaps 250 to 400 AD.

Even the Epistles in the New Testament deal with the early forms of Gnosticism ... clearly showing it to be inferior to the Christian Gospel.
