by politicians as a smokescreen for fraud and abuse of power, what would you do (pick one)?

a) Vote the bums out.
b) Use whatever influence I have to make sure they pay for their crimes.
c) Hold my nose and vote for the bums again because the other guys are even worse.
d) Give up voting.
e) other (your suggestions are welcome)

You say 'pick one'. Sorry. Can't do it. Have to pick 2: a and b. Vote the bums out and do what I can to see them punished. It's alright for a politician to express his faith in a normal way if it is part of his life. It's also alright for me not to take his profession of faith for granted. I like to vote for policies and for what I see in their actions. The fact that someone says he shares my faith really doesn't influence me in my vote. Here in Canada, the last time I voted for someone who never expressed interest in my faith, who had diametrically opposite views from me regarding the gay marriage issue, but I agreed with their policies.

We who are Christians know that All politicians wether it be the Dem's or the Gop or the Ind. have corruption, we just choose the "Lesser of the evils"
And the GOP with all it's flaws and corruptions, and more then not using us as you suggest is known to us, they at least support our values on the social issues

As a Christian, I don't vote based on others' professed beliefs. I vote based on policy. I expect religion to be used politically. I try to ignore that and focus on what is concrete in their agenda.
