He says we are only friends, but he knows that I like him more.

Before, I would be the only one to call him. He said he 'hated talking on the phone'. Even if we got disconnected or had a dropped call - *I* would be the one who had to call back. I'm willing to compromise and choose my battles, so it wasn't a big deal considering he is good at communicating other ways.

Now, I have two other guys I am talking to - and I am honest with him about them.

Last week, I called him and he said "Let me call you back.." I said "Okay..." and he did. No big, we had something to talk about anyway.

And yesterday, I called and no one answered. About 10 minutes later, he called me back. I didn't bring it to his attention or anything - but I was surprised.

Do you think he is just being a friend? or trying to keep my interest?

I have honestly been in a situation like this before. At first, the guy acted kinda nonchalant. At times it seemed as though he liked me, but he didn't call too often so it made me wonder.

At that time we were college freshmen. He had a cellphone and I didn't so I had to call him from my room phone or use a friend's cell. After a while I stopped calling so much.

When he saw me conversing with other guys, he wanted to act all interested. I was honest with him from the beginning and I told him that it seemed like he wasn't too interested because he never hardly called, even though we hung out sometimes.

And guess what? As of Oct 2nd, we've been dating for 1yr 8mos!

All I'm saying is that he is probably interested, especially since he knows that you have other options. No guy wants a girl that other guys aren't interested in. He probably just wanted to get to know you.

Just give it a little time and see what happens, but whatever you do.........DON'T RUSH!!!!!!!!!!!! good luck girly

I think he is Shy. I think he wants to talk to you or he would tell you not to call. I think he is trying to express to you what he feels if you had something to talk about. Love will answer all of those question's in time. I just hope you are not playing a game with him while talking to other men. Does he really need to know who you talk to if you are just friends?? He is making an effort to call you back, so I assume he would like to pursue something more!!! Good Luck!!

Love is the answer to everything. All you ever need is love,
communication and understanding. That's what I figured out so
far. If you are down, you need to get up and start doing something with
your life. Don't need to be shy, be straight forward and allways say what
you want and expect from the others.

Mmm, Depending on how serious he is wanting to be in some sort of relationship you could be playing a game he's not willing to participate in...

Hmmmm. I think you should talk about the 2 other guys more often and see if he gets worse.

He only enjoys the attention you give him from the chase. You cannot convince him to love you. Forget him. You deserve better.

since we are tallking about attraction and biology here and i have so little solid data about the two of you to go on!!!! i would ask "are you good looking and thin?" if yes, he might be interested in you as a woman, if you do not consider yourself good looking and are overweight , he may just want to be friends.

He is a REAL friend probably wanted to safeguard you against those 2 other men. Trust him and be a real friend to him too.

I think he's a good friend. That's not to say he must not be interested in you, but that he's trustworthy and wants to be there for you.
