I do not eat pigs because I have personally met some pigs and they were intelligent creatures. I also have heard that pig tastes just like human. So for me it is moral grounds with health concerns thrown in.

What is the difference between religious reasons or moral reasons? If God tells us to do or not to do something we are morally obligated to listen to him.

Oh and those who say the reason God prohibited us from eating pork is ONLY health reasons which don't apply are wrong. That may be a reason but there could be more than one and appaerntly is in this case.

I don't refrain from eating pork on any grounds. I just don't eat an abundance of it. Eating pork is not going to send me to heaven or hell. It's just for nourishment.

i don't, that's OT laws, we are no longer under the law.we now have a new covenant! Hebrews 8:6,7,13 ...He [Christ] is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises. For if that first covenant [the Law of Moses] had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second....In that He says, "A new covenant," He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

God told the Jews not to eat of certain animals because they were unclean. Cloven hooved animals. Modern cooking does away with that law. Heated properly (cooked) pork is as safe as any other food.

I eat pork --I am a True Christian and am allowed to.

Jewish people do it about 90% out of RESPECT.

muslims almost 100% out of FEAR. It is TOTALLY FORBIDDEN. I have muslim acquaintances that smoke and BOOZE... but tell me they would die first rather than eat pork.

Hey cutie, I don't eat meat, fish or poultry, because I love animals and have had many pets. Why eat something that is of the same species that you have pets from?
