rest of the options has nothing (i mean nothing) to do with speed of a computer.

My recommendation is to try first, buy some additional memory. You will see a big improvement on the speed and response of your pc. All the other hardware you had listed can be decided later. Memory will give you the quickes difference.

One of the best ways to make your PC faster is upgrading your memory.
Then upgrade your hard drive to a faster (example if you have a 5400rpm with 2MB buffer upgrade to a 7200rpm with 8MB or 16MB buffer) if your pc supports its. If you use the PC for gaming and you've upgraded the memory and hard drive then you might want to upgrade your video card.
Buying a new monitor will not make your PC faster.

More memory.Make sure that the OS is running only the processes that are required and there is no unnecessary programs in the start up list.

First, tell me what you have and what is installed.

OS system and the speed.

Ram.

Speed and size of hard drive.

The DVD would be determined if you use one, as I do not.
