non Muslims?
Do those of us who are non Muslims, need to be concerned about these Islamic folks that consider us infidels and wish us death or harm at worst or at least, conversion to Islam with all it's rather extreme, fanaticle practises? Can we live in peace with such people or do we need to wage war on them in the act of defending ourselves against their extremism?
What can the average person do to protect themselves from the violence that seems to be such an integral part of these wild and crazy people?

Seems pretty obvious to me that there is a lot of confusion about what Muslims are and what they intend for "others".
Never had a problem personally with a Muslim myself. I suppose that is as good a place to start as any.

My thanks to the Muslims that answered. I pesonally have no quarrel with Muslims but it sure seems some of your own are making thing murky for those Muslims who are of the kinder, gentler sort. I certainly hope it gets sorted out for the benefit of ALL peace loving souls, what or whomever they may be.

listen mate, read your history and youl relies who the real terrorists are.
who were the terrorists behind Noriega in panama it was the US government.
who were the foreigners that came to Latin American as terrorists, to loot gold and murdered countless civilizations, it was the conquistadors.
who were the terrorists that ruled 3 quarters of the planet it was the British.
throughout history the western world has terrorized the planet and they aren't called crazy and aren't called terrorists and aren't called backwards.
look at the military status of the American army, they have plotted them selves throughout the world not to "bring peace" as they say, everything they have done has been to benefit them selves and to bring down the status of the rest of the world.
they make a mess and don't clean it up. i mean, look at the AIDS virus. they created the virus from the polio vaccine and tested it on the Africans, and they continue to denie it to this day even tho there is sooo much evidence that it was them.
and the list goes on and on and on.
so who are the real "crazy people" is it the so called fundamentalists that are so obviously made out so be much worse by the media. or is it your governments which is so much worse, because if it is and think about this, who is going to arrest them?

I don't know where do people get these ideas from! I'm a Muslim and I really don't care who converts and who doesn't. I live in peace with people of different beliefs, I have Christian friends, I accept that people are different and that they have different beliefs, I respect other's beliefs and I expect them to respect mine. This is what true Islam is about: Living in peace with others despite differences.

wow...where on earth did you come up with this...watching the news...or the newspapers...I'm a Muslim and our community doesn't believe that at all. We don't go door to door asking people to convert as other religious groups. We could care less if someone converts or not...we are the second largest religion and the youngest of monotheistic religions. I think you don't need to worry about having people convert you...
Try to keep an open mind...don't be so closed off into believing that Muslims are like everyone else and we are very misunderstood.

Any religion that will kill if u dont convert is a religion that will eventually either die itself, or will be forced eventually to eliminate that part of its views.
Christian & Catholics had to to do the same thing. Remember they used to be equally violent about non-converts.
Reality is, that islam's goal of conversion will guarantee a future world war that may likely go nuclear.

The Whole WORLD must submit before there can be PEACE!

No, true Islam is about respecting other people's beliefs...Islam doesn't have a condition of religion for salvation like Christianity and we are taught that there is to be no forced conversion:
[2:256] "There shall be no compulsion in religion"-"Anyone who denounces the devil and believes in GOD has grasped the strongest bond; one that never breaks."
We are told to live and let live and accept those of other religions:[109:1-6] "Say, O you disbelievers. "I do not worship what you worship. "Nor do you worship what I worship. "Nor will I ever worship what you worship. "Nor will you ever worship what I worship. "To you is your religion, and to me is my religion."
AND Proclaim: "This is the truth from your Lord," then
whoever wills let him believe,
and whoever wills let him disbelieve. [18:29]
We are told to God all humans are equal regardless of religion, it is not up to us to judge people it is only God's job: [4:25] "…GOD knows best about your belief, and you are equal to one another, as far as belief is concerned".
So no true Muslims are not wild and crazy people...and this is the majority.....should we go around naming all white people as wild crazy racists who want all non-white people burnt at the stake because of the Klu Klux Klan and skinheads and Afrikaans and the nazis?
There is no convert and die policy...and Infidel is not an unbeliever, that is kafir....you are only allowed to fight in Islam under very strict conditions:[22:39] "Permission is granted to those who are being persecuted, since injustice has befallen them, and GOD is certainly able to support them.[ 22:40] They were evicted from their homes unjustly, for no reason other than saying, "Our Lord is GOD." If it were not for GOD's supporting of some people against others, monasteries, churches, synagogues, and masjids - where the name of GOD is commemorated frequently - would have been destroyed. Absolutely, GOD supports those who support Him. GOD is Powerful, Almighty."
[2:190] "You may fight in the cause of GOD against those who attack you, but do not aggress. GOD does not love the aggressors. "

i think they wish us death, they are jealous of the western ways, and want all wealth from other nations. if we stopped fighting terrorism they would carry on bombing and killing. it would not stop, because we did. i think if we did convert to islam we would be treated as second class citizens anyway.
