It is not carbon neutral because of our use of fertilisers and tractors, delivery, etc.

Pesticides have no real effect on carbon balance but are probably a positive benefit as none of the yield is wasted

in terms of a energy source yes; as it if fully carbon neutral (unless we spray pesticeides and what not on it)
