Send it by airmail, and it should arrive within 4-5 working days.

If you sent the letter 1st class, I doubt it would get there as it doesn't even cover the cost of surface mail (which in itself would take a few weeks at least). Go to the post office and pay for airmail. It'll get there in a week.

It should take around 7 days as per norm. But experence has shown at time 14 days. Like most things with the postal service allow plenty of time. You can send express mail but that costs more and I beleave it it trackable. So at least you will have some indication where the card is.

You can't just send a letter abroad by 1st class.

The cheapest way to do it is 1st class letter World Zone 1. I think its 42p and will arrive within 4 working days!

I guess it would depend on where in Canada you are sending this card. If it is a major centre, probably 5 to 10 days. If the receiver is in a rural area then it could be longer.
