land NOW! It's being said the loss of the Soldier's lives in numbers are GREATER than the loss of lives from 9/11. SENSLESS!
Why should our guys invade the middle east in the first place? The Iraqs only resent us!
Can someone clear up this issue?
Don't want to make the Prez. out to be a bad guy cuz he has alot of responsibility, but, then again, has he done the right thing by this "out-of-hand" war that's goin' on back there????

Well, if he calls all the troops back, what if the war comes over here with them? Don't you feel safe knowing that our troops are doing a good job fighting and securing overseas?

You're right. We reached the absurdity quotient when more troops had been killed in Iraq than civilians died on American soil.

More people died fighting Japan in WW2 than died at Pearl Harbor, though, to put things in perspective. The number of civilian dead in an incident that supposedly started the war wouldn't, alone, make the war wrong. What makes the war wrong is that no connection was ever established between Saddam and 9/11, which is what was claimed by Bushco to get us into the war. Bushco waffled to keep their options open --according to them at various times when they were selling the American public on the war, we went to Iraq to 1) depose a despot, 2) to look for WMD which threatened the free world, and because 3) Saddam caused 9/11. They wanted it all ways. Luckily for them, no one connected the dots in any meaningful way.

This administration deals very heavily in slogans and symbols, the better to reach a pre-literate, post-literate, sub-literate, illiterate audience. Ending the war expiditiously is labeled "Cut N' Run." Staying and dying is labeled "Staying the Course." We are assured you can support an unending war and "The Culture of Life" -- but no one explains how something so illogical is in fact possible. And though the miracle of spin, a president who was a draft dodger can be more of one accord with the military as potential commander in chief than a decorated veteran. Go figure. Nothing that touches this administration is logical; it is never called to account for anything it does.

How would anyone like to be a soldier in an urban war? There are no lines drawn. Yet, our brave military personnel serve with honor in a very dangerous situation because they made a commitment. I am proud of our military personnel for that. But yet, I have no faith in the leadership that put them there. We all know there were no weapons of mass destruction and there are many questions left unanswered. There have been a lot of mistakes made from lack of attention to details, others from haste. Example: The lack of proper equipment to keep our military personnel as safe as possible.
I believe we have to deal with terrorism where ever we find it, but it should be done thoughtfully. I haven't seen much thought put into anything by this administration.

Ask your older relatives/friends about some little wars called World War II and Vietnam and then you can talk about numbers of lives lost.

You should see how many of our soldier's deaths have come from mistakes or accidents that was "our" fault.

That's right !!--These TOWEL HEADS will not stop coming after and trying to destroy us. No matter if i'll troops are there or not..
tHESE PEOPLE ARE NOT HUMAN WHEN IT COMES TO LIVES OF PEOPLE--MEN, WOMEN, AND CHILDREN. Besides soon the US will have to go after NORTH KOREA because they are bent on breaking all the rules and don't aplly to what all the other nations are doing... So now the US will be at war for as long as we all live................
