Just a typical Monday morning on the way to work. When out of nowhere a deer comes and used my front end as a jump board. I am just wondering how many other people have experienced that.

I hit one, and one hit me. I had to stop for another animal in the road, while I was stopped a deer ran out of the woods right into the side of my truck, and than stood there like, "duh, where did this truck come from", how stupid are they?

I have. My sister has. A couple of my friends have. This was all living up in the Santa Cruz mountain area of California. I've also seen it Northern Cali, the Sierra Foothills around Coloma east of Sacramento, and where I live now here in North Eastern Utah around Vernal.

It almost happened to us yesterday with both deer and elk. I'd rather have a deer jump on my car than an elk.

It's very common in deer country as the animals will be hanging around the side of the road, firstly be kinda paralyzed by the sound of a car or it's headlights (if it's night), then spook and try to run for cover in one direction or the other.

Kinda sucks. My parents didn't believe that a deer hit my Sister's car- hahaha... it was the first incident.

I know lots of people who have done that and they've even taken the deer to the butchers for the meat.

I swerved to miss a deer in the road and totalled my car on a tree instead.

Oh yes, happens all the time around here. In fact, my mother hit one this past week in her brand new 07 Civic. I bet it had less than 1000 miles on it.

I've hit a couple, my wife has also hit one. Comes with living out in the country I suppose.

Yes, I have. Fortunately my insurance company picked up the tab for fixing my car and the deer got up and ran away.
