In a relationship (a business or personal one) there are usually two participants. Third party is someone outside that relationship.

So for example if you are dating someone. And then you cheat your gf with another girl, that girl is a third party.

In business if you buy for example a bike and then buy tyres from another company, those are third party tires :)

it usually takes two to have a relationship. a third party is someone who gets involved in this realtionship, knowing or unknowingly, and would usually be the cause of the breaking up of the relationship.
