Why not give them a hamper filled with dish towels, cooking utensils, bath towels, cleaning supplies, scented candles, things they will need for the home. My best friend told me that was the best gift she had received. Money is the best gift if you want to give them something they will use and not put in the closet or a yard sale.

I would just to their registry... yes, unique is fun but not as useful plus the older you get the more junk you get and if your unique things doesn't fit their lifestyle... it's a waste.
I would by are really nice gift off the registry.... as a bride to be, I would much rather get my china then have to figure out what do with something. Some one just got me lovely hot pink hand towels that are all sparkly and very me in personal style plus very unique....... and I sure they bought them in a bouquet type store but they don't match anything in my house or my decor... so they have been sitting in the closet!
