there is no way you will reach your goals unless you make a commitment and change your lifestyle. A healthy diet and regular exercise will help but if you do not commit to change your life then don't bother. As far as the crash diets, they will be worse for you as you will regain the weight when you revert to your old habits. Try working out with a friend so that you keep each other motivated and make each other accountable. Make weekly and monthly goals, put them in writing and do everything in your power to attain them. Remember to make realistic goals. Knock out empty calories like soda and beer or juices high in sugars. Increase the fiber in your diet as it makes you feel full for a longer period of time. Eat smaller portions more frequently. Commit to change a your lifestyle instead of just lose weight. Good luck!

I started using Stack Body Tune Up weight loss system and Advanced Cell Therapy energy drink since July, 2006. I have lost 33.5 pounds in that time. I didn't start out with motivation. It came after the first 10 days when I had lost 8 pounds. The motivation and the discipline came with time. As I was losing weight, my mind began telling me that I can help this system by walking and after about a month, I was walking 5 miles a day.

However, losing weight is a process.

If I can be of further assistance, let me know.

Part of your problem is right there in your question! If you don't work at it and you knowingly don't eat healthy, how can anybody give you good..or great advice? You won't use the advice if you say you are lazy. Try getting out and walking first. Just get yourself moving, and start eating right. Once you can be consistent with that, move on to more vigorous activities. Good luck to you. If you are really concerned about being over weight, you'll do something about it other than complain about it!!

To lose weight, a person has to reduce the calorie intake by some amount by modifying their diet. A diet without sufficient nutrients will only increase the appetite of the person trying to lose weight. Since most people combine a diet with an exercise plan, additional nutrients are required for the growth of muscles required to increase the metabolic rate required for long term weight loss. You need to be consistent. You will never be able to lose weight if you don't commit to your self. So get up and go to gym for 30 minutes every day. These days people and media will tell you all kind of information about diet. You don't need to listen to every single one. I was 175 pounds and I lost to 135 pounds. But it takes time and consistency. All i did was go to gym and eat less and healthy. This is what you need to do. Good Luck.

Just imagine yourself with another 50lb., do u want to be like that???

First try to get a motivation, any sport you like?, make a weekly schedule and get any energy pill or drink an hour before the time to go. You have to change your mind about laziness, and you'll see when u start working out how good u feel.

Is it possible to team up with a friend for the gym ..its always easier to be more motivated when there is a little healthy competition involved...I think you are half way there with the diet bit you fully accept all your faults now and aren't trying to blame others...ask your GP to refer you to the practice dietitian...they make you go at least once a month ..just knowing your going to be monitored might be the kick up the ar** you need...good luck I think you are going to make it this time...

It will cost a little extra, but I suggest you get a personal trainer at the gym, preferably a hot broad. If you have a friend to go to the gym with that would be a lot easier.

You have 5 yrs. to reach your goal. Depending on how overweight you are, you can achieve what you want by exercise and correct food input. There's nothing anyone can do for you. It's you that has to do it, there's no getting around it. Short of wiring you jaw, or having bypass surgery, it's time to get to work to achieve a weight loss that will make you feel good about yourself....
