Ok, he's trying to get a date to Homecoming, and he asked a girl in school, I believe Friday. She got back to him last night, saying she's going with another guy, who we know pretty well. However, for about a month now, he has been doing "intimate" things with another girl in our school, and she told all of us that they were going with each other. So here is his problem :
Does he believe that the girl he asked is going with this guy, or is she lying to him?

OK,the best thing 2 do is to cool off Ur mind at first because there might be a little problem. If that didn't work then you can talk to Ur friend's parents about that situation or you can try talking to the school councillor.Good Luck

If he's being intimate with someone else, it sounds to me like he wants to believe that she's lying to him, but he don't want to endure the pain. I can say that it's obvious that he's pretty torn apart by that. He's probably trying to cancle out the pain by doing things with another girl. He's hoping that she's teling the truth, but at the same time hopes she's lying to him. He's in a state of confusion and pain. He needs help. Not from a theropist, but a friend. Since you are his friend, sit down and talk to him as a friend. Show him you care about his problems and treat them as if they were yours. None of us who answer this can do anything to help. He don't know us, he knows you. You must be the one to give him the help he needs. You need to help him understand that either way, she wasn't the right girl for him and the right girl is out there somewhere. All he needs to do is open his eyes. He's looking, but he's just not seeing.

there is only one way to find out. Tell your friend to ask another girl out and go to the homecoming. This way you will find out if this girl is telling the truth.

She could be going with him or just letting your friend down gently - which is nice.
It doesn't matter either way really as she isn't going with your friend full stop. Its best if he just asks someone else instead of worrying about what this girl is or isn't doing.

It doesnt matter. Bottom line is that she doesnt want to go with him, so he needs to get over it.
