Yes, Spooky these words are true.
I can only speak from my point of view. As a christian we believe God make everything. All of creation are special to him. A true christian should even be the best enviromentalist. All human are precious to GOd . He made them. Yes, off course He is also the God of justice & righteousness but God is foremost the God of Love. If christian truly know God's heart, they will treat everyone with respect & love. Christian should follow Jesus example & not be the one to cast the 1st stone. We are all imprefect & with sin. Christian should have the attitude that they are not more special just more forgiven.

it was just beautiful here today, you'd a thunk u was in hawaii if not for all the red necks.
I try to use that take it as it comes but I think I enjoy the evaluative process and am able to separate that from my actions in most cases, although watching the news makes me laugh at people and get angry with them, not so true in the outside of the boob tube experience. I think maybe I would enjoy life more if I was more involved as mentioned rahter than as being an observer, however the observer part kicks in automatically and how to stop that I know not, maybe I should read the book. but I have not yet so I added the redneck part to the lead in sentence.

It's easy for me to greet everyone and everything as they exist without judgment. It's after the greeting that things get a bit more "interesting".

I rarely have pre-conceived notions about people or situations. I've been surprised too many times to believe I can know what to expect. Generally, I take situations for what they are, and respond to people according to how they treat me or the people around them.

It does help me to see the good in things if I haven't already decided about the way things are.

Good morning, Spooky. I try to not judge by first, or even second appearances. I approach everyone with the same degree of respect. I let them shape my opinions of who and what they are by their actions and deeds. I reserve judgment until I know what they are as a person.

It is impossible for us as humans to not judge someone. The only fair thing we can do is hold off on judgment and give the person in question an unbiased view.

I'm not sure this is possible. As soon as I look at something I'm making judgments. How big is it? Is it pleasing to my eye? Is it trying to kill me? Do I think it would look good in the living room or should I hang it in the bedroom? How would it taste with a white wine sauce or would a basil pesto be better?

I will always be making judgments about things.

The real trick is to keep ones mind open to new data about things and not to close something out prematurely.

Great ques.,Spooky. I have been marinating this in my mind for awhile. For me, this is not possible for everything.
Example: I must judge the food offered to me. Will this make me ill or not?
As for people, there was a time in my life when I needed to eliminate the "knuckleheads" out of my life. If I saw someone walking towards me babbling and drooling, I walked away. If I saw someone waving a gun, I would have to judge that this is not a good place to be.
In my life, now, I try to be more tolerant of people and I try to be open to new ideas. For me it's a balancing act.

Hi. This quote illustrates a basic Buddhist tenet of non-attachment. A Buddhist accepts all things just as they are, without judgment.

I apply it as much as possible. We can only attempt to live this tenet. We must be aware of our attitudes at all times and correct them if they are not the most productive ones.

Yes, it is possible. : ) If it becomes a habit, it isn't even difficult.

You do open yourself up to many pleasant surprises, but you also open yourself up to many hurts. Some of the most wonderful things and people are where you would least expect them, and some of the most hurtful things and people are where you would expect to be safe.

I have no right and it is morally wrong to pre judge another person based solely of their skin color or ethnicity. I think that it means that I have no right to assume that I can judge the afterlife of anyone.
