merciless killing of animals should be stopped why?

want to know why animal habitat has to be protected and its effect on the nature, why killing has to be stopped and how it should be stopped.

Killing of animals should not be stopped. Animals were put on this earth to be harvested and eaten. Animal habitat, such as forest, must be protected to ensure the availability of wildlife for future generations.

i dont think cheetah has a gun
or lion got a knife.
they just doing their job.
we're merciless killer. bombing people in Lebanon.
