No… They do not suffer from ‘deafness’…
The correct term for it is ‘Selective Hearing’…
They only hear what they want to hear !!!
It’s OK… Parents are allowed to develop it as well…
Next time they want something…
Don’t hear them…
They soon get the message !!!

They are young and "immature" and most don't fathom doing anything that someone else tells them. Youth are inquizative and some just need to learn things on their own. It's a way for them to start spreading their little wings and getting ready to fly. we can only hold our breath and hope we've instilled enough for them to use to make conscensious and smart decisions in life. Good luck! PS: My mother told me I was an alien for ages 13-18. I have a 12 yr old son that imagines he knows more then me, but I've instilled in him that I still have eyes in the back of my head, I hear everything and one way or another Karma will come around an bite you in the butt and I'll be there to catch him when he falls.

Yes, they are all deaf. Their hearing suddenly kicks in when they live on their own for several years and hear their own voices sounding exactly like their parents.

No they just have selective hearing, it comes and goes in teenagers. If its something they don't want to hear they won't hear it. Try whispering the following ( is that your fiver on the floor).
