Never.... Everybody is right in his/her own view point... But I would suggest that personal experience would elevate a person from just belief to "Now I know(of personal experience)".. so to keep open the possibility of experience and work towards it with a proper spiritual guide of one's own liking and choice.

When the subject arises? Only when we are free and idle.Leave the olden days. Now we are living in a speedy world. we have no time to spend in other activities. Our work, family work and sleep. And sleep is the only rest.Even one find free time he has so many ways to utilise it in a renumerative way and spend it for happy living.
So my opinion is there is no need to talk about GOD. Believe and condemn

Some religious fundamentalists can be over the top and detrimental to society, but given that most religions have love and charity as a main principal, then surely for most well-balanced people religion isn't a bad thing.

I don't condemn. But I will judge a religious persons actions and words based on their religion (as that is supposed to be their "lifestyle"). If I find them hypocritical, I will point it out.

why condemn others as everyone has the free will to believe or not as they see fit because of their free will. better to live and let live while everyone respects everyone's rights.

No - they have the right to believe whatever they want.
I only get upset if they continue to preach to me after I ask them to stop, or if they expect a discount or tax-free status, meaning I have to pay or subsidize them.
