Could also mean you need AA. If you feel the need to drink that much and you don't really feel it, I would tend to think you have a drinking problem. However, I can't judge or make assumptions, so I would have to say...good for you. I personally can down a good 12-13 beers and just get a slight buzz. I also only drink maybe once a week if that, so what does that say about me? lol. If you feel you have an anxiety problem, don't self medicate..talk to your doctor and see if there is a better way to handle what is going on and bothering you! Good luck

This is something I've been trying to get my head around myself. Its a strange phenomenon, I can drink vodka all day with no hangover, no vomit, no nasty side effects other than the odd smatter of drunken singing. Friends tell me its because its triple distilled but that does not explain why others get sick on it. Maybe its tolerance? However I do not remember ever being sick on the stuff. As for it being an anxiety related issue, maybe you expect to feel sick after other spirits as you know vodka is your friend? Maybe when you feel sick already its a placebo thing that reassures you. Either way don't worry too much, I know many folk who can't even look at a vodka bottle as it holds too many painful vomit related memories

The fact that you are feeling sick before drinking and better afterwards should sound a loud warning bell. If you love your drinking, knock it on the head for a month and then go back. Your resistence will have dropped and you will be able to do the trick with less juice.
Alternatively, you can do what I did and plough on through all the warnings until you develop a physical or psychological dependency. Then you're Donald Ducked for the rest of your natural. Believe me, a break here and there is much more fun than a permanent one.

I have tried just about every beer and spirit going, and although I usually drink beer, I drink vodka as a spirit. Likewise, I never get sick or a hangover. It is a clean spirit. But watch it! It is very easy to get hooked (ask the Russians!) I was drinking half a bottle a day - although I am not a big drinker - purely because it was easy to drink. I have calmed that down now, but not before I had a very nasty health experience.
Enjoy vodka - but be aware.
Bottoms up!

I would guess that you, like myself, don't get hangovers. This is not really good or bad, although it does mean you are slightly more likely to develop a dependency or addiction. If you do what I do and enjoy drinking socially, but not to excess on a regular basis, you should be fine. I would guess that when you drink while feeling bad the improvement you feel is nothing more than the anesthetic influence of the alcohol.

Clear alcohols and clear mixers are the best kind of drinks to have and you'll have less chance of becoming ill. When you get into the stuff that has lots of sugars and craps in them, those will get you really sick!

Erm.... do you want to feel sick? Why treat this as a problem unless of course, you are drinking neat vodka often and daily??

If you drink, high-qulaity vodka - it's quite pure. It doesn't have added, flavourings, colour etc.
Also, it doesn't have tannins, like red wine, brandy (other dark-coloured alcohol), which promote dreadful hangovers.
