I sent this girl friend that I have not seen in months a message to meet up. I was coming through her area, but she could not meet up for the time I set. I caught up with other friends instead of hang with her. She was unable to contact me before I got there. Anyway, she sent a phone message back later and stated my full name then said that she was "so sorry" in a really dramatic fashion. She then explained that she visited her family and really hoped to "catch up" the next time I visit the area. I wonder two things. Why was she really nervous when she called? She said a lot of strange things and giggled sometimes during the message. And why was she really eager to meet up and "catch up"?

She's just a friend. Not a steady girlfriend. I'd brush aside all these interpretations you're giving the phone call. Let her go and if you come through the area again, give her another call.
