I love the colleague reference! The Yhwh of OT literature was probably a bit too petty, vicious, and warmongering for the rest of the gods out there. I doubt many of the Greek gods hung out with him much, so he probably didn't get kicked down the good ambrosia very often :P

On a more serious note, the Christian God lives in eternity...which means that there is no time. Outside of time, things like eating would be unneccesary, wasteful, and pointless. Many people think that living in eternity is just like living in time, but that is absurd. Time causes an appearance of neccesity, intent, lack, "will be" or "will have", etc. Any notion of future need or past problems is simply non-occuring in an eternity setting.

The Greek gods lived on Mount Olympus or other places, but they lived in actual places inside of time, so things like eating become neccesary, and they, being gods, couldn't be seen to be so normal as to eat the same thing humans do, so they had their own little special god food!

Very good, I am surprised that anyone here would know His name. And I see that you haven't been struck down. Interesting concept of colleagues, I wonder if there is a reference to the existence with the Greek Gods of an entity involved with this.

The Greek wimps were too into alcohol, drugs and chasing humans as sex toys to actually act like "gods". I strongly suspect that the whole thing was made up by a bunch of guys looking for a really good reason to drink, do drugs, and chase women. "By honey, I'm going to church now...heh heh heh."

No, the Hebrew's God never needed food or drink. Rather, He supplied all that we needed.
