The biblical "hell" simply refers to the condition of being dead. Jehovah's Witness publications synonymize "hell", "Hades", "Sheol", and "grave". The biblical "hell" is the common grave of mankind.
Interestingly, Jesus was dead for three days so the bible says that he was in "the grave". Some English translations read that Jesus was in "hell".
For example, King David prophetically wrote of Jesus:
(Psalm 16:10) For you will not leave my soul in She´ol ["hell"].
(Acts 2:31-32) [King and prophet David was inspired so that he] saw beforehand and spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that neither was [Jesus] forsaken in Hades ["hell"] nor did his flesh see corruption. 32 This Jesus God resurrected, of which fact we are all witnesses.
Clearly, Jesus did not deserve any punishment since he died faithfully and perfect.

There was a documentry about hell and what it is on the discovery channel and it is known that it was translated as more a state of suffering than a place for eternal damnation by Greek mythological translations, interpretations of the holy scriptures further fuel this theory when there was mention as a place called (Seoul ),due to diligent research there is no mention of a place called hell in the bible and is reserved for the wicked,it is pure comic book fiction, furthermore If I were an all powerful God why would I waste any resources in burning eternally some disobedient degenerates that do wrong by choice anyways.?People live by the choices we make and the free will that enjoy today.proper investigative research without bias for the truth is the key element to fact-finding and overcoming prejudices in customs.

Hi!
There is a great deal of information about 'Hell". The consensus is that it is the common grave of mankind. The ground we all walk on. The best part is that it isn't permanent. We get a new chance in the general resurrection! We live again to the glory of God/ Jehovah!
>Note too, that Jesus was raised from the grave, indicating that it isn't permanent.
Note also that Jesus hands back his temporary kingdom to his father / Jehovah...... Wonder why most religions think the end is all there is?
Psalms says the earth was made for man, 'the meek will inherit the earth!
Revelations says God will pitch his tent with mankind.
It also talks about Gods kingdom coming to earth..............
Wonder how religions explain that?
Note other explanations come from old english that Jesus never spoke!

There is no proof that hell actually exists. There was a recording of hell when these diggers dug a deep hole and hit air and put a microphone down and recorded screams, but that was proven to be a hoax. Other than the bible, there is no proof of hell. However, there is no proof behind the bible, so that isn't even proof.

Hell described in the Bible in the book of Revelation as a lake of fire, where wicked will be consumed by fire for eternal destruction. Sometimes Bible refers to the term hell as a grave. I recommend you to read the book by Mark Finley 'The Next Superpower'. Part of the book deals with explanation what and where is hell. This book full of illustrations, charts, and images on every page, you will find many other Bible topics in easy to read, down to earth stile. Also go to http://www.amazingfacts.org/media/radio/question_archive.asp?tName=Hell and listen answers on questions regarding hell. And most important read the Bible for yourself. I recommend New Century Version, easy to understand and accurate translation.

There is no such place as a fiery hell.
A loving God wouldn't invent such a place (1 JOHN 4:8)
The word is often mistranslated & means the common grave of mankind
The word “hell” is found in many Bible translations. In the same verses other translations read “the grave,” “the world of the dead,” and so forth. Other Bibles simply transliterate the original-language words that are sometimes rendered “hell”; that is, they express them with the letters of our alphabet but leave the words untranslated. What are those words? The Hebrew she’ohl′ and its Greek equivalent hai′des, which refer, not to an individual burial place, but to the common grave of dead mankind; also the Greek ge′en·na, which is used as a symbol of eternal destruction. However, both in Christendom and in many non-Christian religions it is taught that hell is a place inhabited by demons and where the wicked, after death, are punished (and some believe that this is with torment). This is totally untrue.
Does the Bible indicate whether the dead experience pain (thus supporting the helfire theory?)
Eccl. 9:5, 10: “The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all . . . All that your hand finds to do, do with your very power, for there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol,* the place to which you are going.” (If they are conscious of nothing, they obviously feel no pain.) (*“Sheol,” AS, RS, NE, JB; “the grave,” KJ, Kx; “hell,” Dy; “the world of the dead,” TEV.)
Ps. 146:4: “His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; in that day his thoughts* do perish.” (*“Thoughts,” KJ, 145:4 in Dy; “schemes,” JB; “plans,” RS, TEV.)
Thanks for the question

Psalm 16:10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
Speaks of hell as a grave
Proverbs 7:27: Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.
Hell is death
Isaiah 28:15: Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
Again, Hell is the grave, or death.
God will not allow anyone to even be remembered.
Revelation 1:18:
I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
Revelation 20:13:
And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Tells us that even those in hell will be delivered to judgment.
Hell is not a place where we will be tortured.
Hell is death, the grave, and everlasting nothingness.

Ask yourself this: would a loving God torment any being for all eternity with no hope of reprieve? Then choose: "God is love" or Hell exists. And don't tell me "People choose Hell by separating themselves from God." If they choose, why suddenly after death can't they choose any more?
Another question to ask yourself: could anyone be in Heaven if they knew others were being tormented in Hell? Wouldn't Heaven be Hell for anyone with compassion? So then is God less compassionate than a compassionate human being?

JW's?? They don't know squat.. only THINK they do.
Hell is where you go to suffer eternally for your sins you refused to repent of.
There is no PROOF of it. You just have to remember that there is opposition in all things. If there is a heaven there will be a hell. If there is wrong there is right, etc.
Just read the bible, preferrably the Kings James Version.
