I doubt that it can become a fashion item in the West because they will cover beautiful hairs and faces, so the physical beauty will be hidden. Fashion always try to put in value the physical beautiful.

But if someday it happens to become a fashion item, I do not think muslims will be upset. On the contrary they will find that people are moving towards the right direction. And they won't have problem to wear it at school and in the western society.
